Mean curvature flow with a forcing term in minkowski space

We study the forced mean curvature flow of graphs in Minkowski space and prove longtime existence of solutions. When the forcing term is a constant, we prove convergence to either a constant mean curvature hypersurface or a translating soliton – depending on the boundary conditions at infinity. 用干涉方法测量薄膜应力

基于基片弯曲法和牛顿环的基本原理,使用He-Ne激光器、扩束镜、凸透镜和带分光镜的移测显微镜,搭建了薄膜应力测量装置.采用直流溅射法制备了厚度为30~144 nm的银薄膜,衬底采用厚度为0.15 mm、直径为18 mm的圆形玻璃片.实验发现,薄膜厚度对银薄膜的内应力有显著的影响,在薄膜厚度很小时,随着薄膜厚度的增加,应力迅速增大,达到最大值后,随着厚度的继续增加,薄膜应力下降较快并趋于稳定值.     

The Totally Geodesic Coisotropic Submanifolds in Kähler Manifolds

In this paper, we consider the coisotropic submanifolds in a Kähler manifold of nonnegative holomorphic curvature. We prove an intersection theorem for compact totally geodesic coisotropic submanifolds and discuss some topological obstructions for the existence of such submanifolds. Our results apply to Lagrangian submanifolds and real hypersurfaces since the class of coisotropic submanifolds includes them. As an application, we give a fixed-point theorem for compact Kähler manifolds with positive holomorphic curvature. Also, our results can be further extended to nearly Kähler manifolds.     

The Huber theorem for non-compact conformally flat manifolds

It was proved in 1957 by Huber that any complete surface with integrable Gauss curvature is conformally equivalent to a compact surface with a finite number of points removed. Counterexamples show that the curvature assumption must necessarily be strengthened in order to get an analogous conclusion in higher dimensions. We show in this paper that any non compact Riemannian manifold with finite -norm of the Ricci curvature satisfies Huber-type conclusions if either it is a conformal domain with volume growth controlled from above in a compact Riemannian manifold or if it is conformally flat of dimension 4 and a natural Sobolev inequality together with a mild scalar curvature decay assumption hold. The object of the present paper is to study quasi-conformally flat weakly Ricci symmetric manifolds.

利用可积系统的思想,借助三维Minkowski空间L3的矩阵模型,研究了L3中具有调和逆平均曲率的类空曲面和洛伦兹调和逆平均曲率类时曲面的可积性及其形变.     

局部对称共形平坦黎曼流形中具有平行平均曲率向量的子流形

本文把[1]的结论推广到了环绕空间是局部对称共形平坦的情形,即获得了:设M~是局部对称共形平坦黎曼流形N~+p(p>1)中具有平行平均曲率向量的紧致子流形,如果则M~位于N~+p的全测地子流形N~+1中。其中S,H分别是M~的第二基本形式长度的平方和M~的平均曲率,T_C、t_c分别是N~+p的Ricci曲率的上、下确界,K是N~+p的数量曲率。     

A Complete Classification of Curvature Collineations of Cylindrically Symmetric Static Metrics

Curvature collineations are symmetry directions for the Riemann tensor, as isometries are for the metric tensor and Ricci collineations are for the Ricci tensor. Complete listings of many metrics possessing some minimal symmetry have been given for a number of symmetry groups for the latter two symmetries. It is shown that a claimed complete listing of cylindrically symmetric static metrics by their curvature collineations [1] was actually incomplete and is completed here. It turns out that in this complete list, unlike the previous claim, there are curvature collineations that are distinct from the set of isometries and of Ricci collineations. The physical interpretation of some of the metrics obtained is given.

We obtain a non-Kähler almost Hermitian manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature by changing the almost complex structure in a Kähler manifold of constant holomorphic sectional curvature.
